Back with another paperwork question about my 2015 Challenger. Ordering a transmission cooler and the vendor's fitment chart splits by transmission model, not just by car, which caught me off guard since the same year could carry different units. My title and registration obviously do not say. Which code on the factory record shows the actual transmission model installed in my car? And is it grouped near the engine lines, or somewhere else on the document? Want to order once, not twice.

Powertrain block, usually within a few lines of the engine entry. The transmission carries its own code with an abbreviation naming the unit, which maps directly to what fitment charts ask for. Read it from the record and order with confidence.

And when the cooler arrives, the transmission also has a physical ID tag if you ever want belt-and-suspenders confirmation. But the record line is accurate on an unswapped car, so paper alone is fine here.

Found it sitting two lines under the engine entry, exactly as described, with the unit named right in the abbreviation. Cooler ordered in one attempt, which is a personal best for me and this car.
