Dodge Sales Codes Explained — Factory Option Codes
Every Dodge is built to a list of factory sales codes. Reading them is the key to a Dodge build sheet — and confirming exactly how a vehicle left the plant.
What is a sales code?
A sales code (also called an option or equipment code) is the short alphanumeric code Chrysler / Stellantis uses to record each option, package, and piece of equipment a vehicle was built with. A vehicle's build is the full list of sales codes it was assembled with — engine, transmission, axle, drivetrain, paint, interior, wheels, and every package in between.
It's the Mopar equivalent of GM's RPO codes: a coded, factory-accurate record of the vehicle's real configuration.
Where are sales codes located?
- The factory build sheet — the complete, definitive list, retrieved by VIN. That's what this site pulls for you.
- Equipment labels — some codes appear on labels inside the vehicle (glovebox, door jamb, or trunk).
- The original window sticker — translates the key options into plain descriptions for the buyer.
